and activities
The horizon line is a landscape element
that we have all ever contemplated. And the artists have been no less. Featuring
the defining power of the horizon is the centerpiece of the exhibition "
Before the horizon " from the Fundació Joan Miró. Through paintings,
photographs and sculptures ranging from Romanticism and Impressionism to the
present day, the exhibition explores the enigmatic duality horizon, reviewing
the changing nature of their representation and reflecting on its role as a
paradoxical mirror mutations history and culture. We can admire works of major
figures in the history of modern art as Arnold Böcklin, Claude Monet, Eadweard
Muybridge Ed Ruscha, Carl Andre, David Hockney, Antoni Tàpies, Joan Miró,
Magritte Perejaume or others.
