Under the market structure of an emblematic architectural iron s. XIX, the archaeological site of the Barcelona 1700, unique in Europe, the old market , the memory of the events of 1714 and the exhibits that come together to host Cultural Center El Born, an exceptional new historical space is flirting three centuries of history.

Barcelona 1700 
Exhibition recalls Barcelona society of the eighteenth century, dynamic and modern, but also marked by wars that beset 1691 to 1714.
The exhibit shows some 1,800 objects found during archaeological work at the site and they have provided valuable new knowledge to form a portrait of the daily life of how the inhabitants of Barcelona lived three centuries ago. Linked to the permanent exhibition, walk reservoir may also be three exhibition spaces with objects. Most notable is the War Room, where a selection of more than three hundred bombs of various sizes, types and materials that were found during the excavation will be displayed.

To get it: The 1714 site
Sample posing War 1713-1714 Catalans, epilogue War of Spanish Succession, which recreates the final battle of September Eleven. The exhibition focuses very specifically at the site of Barcelona and its outcome, the assault of September Eleven 1714. In the campaign of 1713-1714 and the site of Barcelona Catalans fought for freedom and against barbarism absolutist.

The exhibition features extraordinary pieces, like the flag of Santa Eulalia, which has been restored to be shown at the Cultural Center Born. The exhibition proposal, however, is not supported by pieces, but in a didactic museology, with an important visual component that aims to present understandably historical facts.
